After the war, there was no housing. Ann prayed to St Clemens, and after awhile they found a house to rent on 352 Beeklaan, where they lived for seven years. Ann and Herman named their first son Jacobus Johannes Clemens Maria after his grandfathers on both sides, and St Clemens. He was called Joe.
