Vinsjans Lepsøy vart brukar på Lepsøy (2) i 1603. Fleire ting tydar på at han anten var son åt lensmannen Ola Lepsøy (nemnt frå 1591 til 1602), eller gift med ei dotter hans. Vinsjans sat smått i det dei fyrste åri og lagde berre husmannskatt i 1612, men han arbeidde seg fram og vart ein tollegg "god" bonde. Kva kona hans heitte, veit me ikkje, men han hadde ein dreng som heitte Mons. Av borni kjenner me Ola, f. ikr. 1605, Lepsøy, Mikkjel f. ikr. 1608, Indre Moberg, Johannes f. ikr. 1610, g. Mari nedre Rød, Nils, f. ikr. 1628, Søvik og Magdela ytre Haugland var truleg ogso dotter hans. Vinsjans var tvillaus gift andre gongen då han fekk ein son i 1628. Han døydde i 1631 (?).
Ekkja etter Vinsjans hadde so bruket i 7-8 år. Ho greidde seg godt og lagde skatt som dei beste bønder i bygdi. Ho hadde i desse åi tvo drengjer på bruket, Mons og Kristoffer.

Vinsent Olsen var først gift med ei Mikkelsdatter frå Halhjem og andre gongen med Johanne Nilsdatter som var enke på Kausland i 1645, dottera kanhende gift på Kausland.
