Census has Lydia born Jun 1885 (not 86) and younger sister Mary born Aug 1887. 1904 in Anderson, Indiana, 334 W 5th St. 1906 stenographer in Terre Haute living with her father and sister at 116 Gilbert Ave. 1910 census of Wabash Ward 2, Wabash, Indiana, has Lydia at home with her parents, now age 23, member of the United Methodist Church. 1910 City directory of Wabash Indiana, Lydia, Stenographer, 174 W Maple. At the Dec 14, 1915 death of Lydia in Pontiac State Hospital, Oakland county, Michigan parents are mentioned as D.E. Shoemaker and Orpha Macafee. She had been hospitalized for 21 days, sick for 28, and died of exhaustion and sepsis.
