Dei reiste difor langt avstad for å finne ein annan prest ( registrert gift 1867 i Worth).

Austin Olson, another early settler, came with the Groth family to St. Ansgar as early as 1854. In 1856 he came to grove Township and settled on a farm northwest of Northwood, where he lived for many years, when he moved to Northwood, where he spent the remainder of his days. Austin Olson was one of the gallant heroes who represented Worth County in the defense of this country. He enlisted in the Twenty-third Iowa Infantry, Company B, October 1862, and remained in the service for three years. One year before the war broke out, he was married, thus leaving a oung wife and infant to struggle as best they could during thouse awful days of annxiety and horrors. Many were the tales of suffering and privations he could tell of while at Andersonville prison, etc. Shortly after his return, his wife died. After a lapse of a few years, he again married his first wife's sister, who became a good mother to his children and a kind and loving wife. She died in the spring of 1894.
