1914: Mr. Johnson was born the 18th of June 1827 at Bergen, Norway, thus making him nearly 87 years of age at the time of his death. He came to this country in 1865, and has lived in this vicinity ever since. He was the father of nine children; Johan, Martha, Einer, Maria, Nils, Carl, Olina, Martin, and Ada, four of whom have passed away: Johan, Einer, Carl and Olina. Mrs. Martha Johnson died 20 years ago, in 1894.
