Notes - To the USA 12.4.1888 with brother Ole. He came back to Norway, married, and bought the farmland SAUENESET, Skipeneset bruk 5, in Fana, for 2000 kroner. He emigrated to America and sold the parcel in 1912 to Kristian Dekke for 2000 kroner.
His second emigration: As a married man with wife and son from Fana 19.2.1909, to Warwick, ND, med fripass av 4.10.1902. Was a masonry contractor in Minnesota before emigrating to Roseray, Saskatchewan, to take up homesteading with one of his brothers.

Left his farm to his brother and moved to Queen Charlote in early 30s owning small hotel which catered to whalers and fishermen. Moved to New Westminster around 1936. Lived along Fraser River West of Pattullo Bridge. Married Brita Alette Olsen, died 1961.
