    • Emigrerte fra Oslo i 1872 med SS "Høvding" til New Zealand sammen med kona Eli Jansdatter (30) og datter Marie (3/4). Dei var først nybyggjarar/farmarar i Tararua på nordøya, sidan var han tømrar i Ponsonby i Auckland.

      Gravlagt med dei på Waikumete cemetery er og Ellen Miller, barnebarn og dotter til Benta, død 1906, 18 år gamal, dottera Nellie som og vart berre 18, og dottera Inga med mannen Joseph Moyle, og Alexander Tudehope MacPherson (1906-1975) gift med Ingas dotter May Eileen (1903-1988).
