Notes - Leonardus van den Burg . Until 1789, Leendert lives with his mother Cornelia and his stepfather Pieter van Dam and with his brother Arij and his family. That house belongs to his brother Arij from 1785, but after Arij's death his widow remarries Gerrit van Dam. And that is apparently enough reason for the now 28 year old Leendert to move. As a bachelor he finds shelter in a house on the Schippersvaart, which is rented by his uncle Evert van Stijn. Uncle Evert was also married to a member of a Van Dam family, to Maria Leendertsdochter van Dam, her ancestors had lived in Noordwijkerhout for several generations. After his marriage in 1793 to Antje van Dam from Voorhout, Leendert van den Burg also lives at this old residential location on the harbour of Noordwijkerhout. Leendert van den Burg was only 42 years old, he died shortly after the birth of his sixth child.
