  Stonemason, and pugilist (fighter). Apparently engaged in a fisticuff engagement (some reports says boxing match in Uniontown). Came home? to Freetown and died approx. two weeks later. His grave has not been found in Freetown. In the 1880 census for Indianapolis there is a stone cutter Charles Case, born in Ohio (abt 1850), single, father born in Indiana, mother in Vermont. On the death certificate of Roy in 1906 his brother James registers fathers birth place as Ohio. When Charles R. Casey marries in 1881 in Brown county, his last name is Case. No parents in the registry. Birthdate may be Aug 27. Brown county is just south of Indianapolis, and nabors Bartholomew and Jackson counties, where the familiy settles. Knox is a little further west. - Not the son of James Solomon Casey and Eliza Ann West. Their son is Charles Thomas Casey. When this Charles T. gets married, his parents are stated. He is also in the census with his mother Eliza in 1880.
