First name may have been Catherine (or was that James Croslows first wife), father said to be Dan Simmons of Kentucky. Cherokee bloodline? Also had a son James Simmons b. 1 Oct. 1811 in (?Ohio County) Kentucky. (Katherine Simmons, dau of Adam Simmons and Phoebe Snodgrass m. Oct 13 1814 in Harrison, KY, is not the correct one - she married Cornelius Veatch in 1837.)
