  1870-census, age 22 Abashaba lived with her father in Johnson, Brown, Indiana with her son Ulysses. At age 32 she is listed in the Jackson Twp, Brown Co, IN 1880 census, married to Joseph Croslow (son of James W. Croslow and Catherine Stuteville) on Dec. 25, 1864 in Brown Co, IN. On Mar 25, 1868 Joseph filed for divorce saying that Abashaba had left him on Jan 1, 1868 and they had no children.... however, the 1870 census shows her living in Johnson Twp with her parents and having a son, Ulysus, age 1 year. Joseph marries Martha Todd July 18, 1869 (Brown Co IN) and Martha filed for divorce on Sept. 18, 1871 saying that Joseph had abandoned her in the winter of 1869 and taken up with his previous wife.... then... Abashaba Croslow married Elijah Johnson Jan. 13, 1875 (Brown Co) and filed for divorce stating that Elijah deserted her in Jan 1878. She again married Joseph Croslow on Apr 7, 1879. The 1880 census shows them living together in Jackson Twp with three children. They must have had a child in 1889 (Brown Co) but moved to Lawrence Co, IL. The children include: Ulysses Grant Croslow b Aug 11, 1870 Brown Co IN d Sept 24, 1936, Holland, Pemiscot Co MO, m Joanna Morris Jan 3, 1895 in Vincennes (Knox Co) IN.
