Notes - "He appears briefly in the records with his wife, Anne (b. 1630) in testimony in a law-suit June 3, and 11, 1659. (Surry D. & W., 1645-71, pp. 133-4). William and Ann Lucas had only one son, William Lucas, who was born in 1654 (D. & . 1671-84, p. 183). William Lucas Sr. probably died soon after 1659, and there is some reason to think that his widow, Anne, may have married 2nd Robert Dennis of Surry."
