  • Notes
    • Norris Olaf Knutson, the son of Esther (Engdahl) and Andrew Knutson was born February 7, 1911 in Nicollet, MN and graduated from Mankato Commercial College in 1935.

Working as an accountant in the New Ulm area, he met and married the love of his life, Adeline Roeder, on April 10, 1937. In 1942 they moved to San Diego where Norris worked as a time keeper for Consolidated Vultee Aircraft Corporation during the war. In 1946 they moved to the Bay Area where Norris was a partner and accountant for Break Speciality and Equipment Company until retirement. Norris and Adeline moved to Danville in 1950 where he lived the past 54 years.

In addition to working full-time, Norris was an active member in many community organizations, Community Presbyterian Church of Danville, CPC Prime Time Group, and Danville Senior Citizens Club.

Adeline and Norris shared a love of family, camping, dogs and birds. They were inseparable until Adeline's death in 2000. Norris will be remembered with loving hearts as a caring and gentle giant who was always willing to help others. He was a devoted husband, protective brother, kind and giving uncle, and steadfast friend. He will be missed by all who knew him, but surely not forgotten.

Immediate survivors are sisters Marion Mohlin and Edna Stephenson of Ogden, UT, Cora Rodning of St. Peter, MN; brother Don Knutson of St. Louis Park, MN; numerous nieces, nephews, goddaughters and cousins.

Memorials are preferred to Prime Time Senior Group or the United Church of Christ, New Ulm.
