• Notes

  Parents were Dempsy Carroll Jackson and Mary Pickett, and grandson of Joseph Jackson, a native of Ireland who xame to this country about the middle of the Eigteenth Century and settled in Virginia. Dempsy and Mary came to Kentucky in 1792, settling in Fleming County, where he lived untill his death in 1832. His widow made her home in Missouri with her son Wade, and died at his house in 1846.
