General Notes:
Flytte etter mannen til Canada 30. mars 1930, med alle barna utenom Margit.
"1930, March 30: Helene and her children came to Canada, 6 years after her husband Albert came. They had to go through immigration in England. While there, each child was taken into an office for an interview alone with an immigration officer. Margit, age 16, was deemed mentally retarded and was not allowed to go onto Canada. Helene had no choice but to send her back to Norway, where she spent the rest of her life living with Albert's sister Anna.
The boat they came on was the Dutchess of Richmond, built that year, which burned in 1950, in Montreal. It was part of the Cunard Line. They landed in Halifax and travelled to Manitoba by train. They remained with Albert's employer, Arthur Brush, near Starbuck, for 2-4 weeks before settling in Glenella, Manitoba." Sitat: Debbie Haughland Chan
