Daughters Lulla Gertine (1890-1949) and Florence (1894-1975), son Clarence died young.

Knuds parents were Lars Knudson 1843-1868 and Kari Hansdtr. Fjeld (1847-1932), who also had the daughter Annie M. Fannemel (1868-1925). Lars died in Elk Mound, Dunn, Wisconsin.
Carrie remarried when Lars died to Johan 'John' Erickson (1842-1894) in 1871.

Knute married Ella Thompson, daughter of Folkvard Torjusson Dalen and Guri Andersdtr. Eide, on 24 Mar 1889 in Sioux Falls, Lincoln, SD. (Ella Thompson was born on 30 Jul 1861 in Dane, Wisconsin, USA and died on 10 Feb 1951 in Tyler, Lincoln, Minnesota.)
