1634 Jochom Ghysen (naamsvariant Joachim Ghysbertsz) attests to have transported wood from his parcel 't Bosch with exit over Middelwetering to the Themater dike, over Jan Henrixsz Cocqs (canonick der kercke St Jans te Utrecht) rented land.
1643: Woonplaats: 't boveneynt van Themaet, op Ockhuyssen. Together with others got permissjon to digg through the Thematerdijk to get water and to build a bridge over it, at their expense, on the condition that those appreaing (in the court) are allowed to fill water.
