Apr 24, 1851: Johannes and Birgit sold their land which had been in the Mørk family for 236 years, since 1615. They sold it to Birgit's brother Stein Tomason Raaen and his wife Jorand.

Johannes married Birgit Thomasdtr. Røo, daughter of Tomas Sanders. Røo and Aagot Steinsdtr. Hamarsbøen, on 15 Oct 1835 in Ål, Hallingdal. (Birgit Thomasdtr. Røo was born on 15 Nov 1818 in Røo, Hol and died on 3 Oct 1887 in Northwood, Worth, Iowa, USA.)
